This week has been what can only be described as A Big One. I mean for starters, I've been whipping up a storm in the kitchen all week long with my Gourmet Garden Blog Off/Cook Off entries:
And just quietly, all of your comments about the recipes over on Facebook and on the blog posts have blown me away. I'll throw together a blog post tomorrow with some of your lovely comments and photos that have been sent my way in the past few days, so you can share in the excitement of it all too. Who knew daily, herb based recipes would prove so popular?!
Meanwhile, in other news, Australian Cricket Captain, Michael Clark, married his love, Kyly Boldy, in secret. Now I know this will shock you, but I'm not exactly a fan of cricket. Or any sport for that matter. But I do love a good wedding and this one was no exception. I loved the secrecy, the fact that they didn't sell a single image to any media outlet and that they announced their big news on twitter. Well played M&K, well played.
The dress.
The horse.
The groom carrying his bride's shoes.
Wow.
Just Wow.
And just when the dust had settled from that epic surprise, along come The Wiggles. To announce that 3 of their members are retiring. Partly because they claim to be missing their families now that they're on the road so much, but mainly because, let's face it, they've actually reached retirement age.
Jazz hands anyone?
On a side note, how pissed must poor old Sam be?! Can't help but feel sorry for the poor bloke. For those of you who actually have a life and don't know what the hell I'm talking about, you can read all about Sam's shafting, just a few months ago, right here
And then, just when I thought I couldn't take much more shocking news for one week I spot this. In my 'hood.
Um, that would be an entire shop dedicated solely to selling Crocs.
I know. I'm just as shocked as you are.
And it's only 15 minutes from my house.
Which will be great if ever I need to post a letter.
Because that will be the only reason you will EVER find me lurking around that neck of the woods.
Seriously, I was so floored by this Croc Shop arrangement, that I had to go and buy myself a soothing candle and calming flowers to settle myself. Not. Even. Kidding.
How about you?
Had a massive week full of surprises?
Or was that just me?
Tell me everything....

I'm looking forward to getting to a bigger town to get me some herbs like you have so I can make some of your recipes! They are simple and look delicious. Loved the wedding pics, not sure about a girl wiggle, loved the flowers and the candle and I hope there is another post box somewhere close that you can use. I am not a fan of crocs and I especially dont like crocs and socks now it is getting cooler!
ReplyDeleteAnnaleis, I love everything about your comment. Every single thing. Thanks so much for taking the time to comment xx
DeletePS: I keep meaning to tell you, each time you comment, that I LOVE the name of your blog. It's so so cute :)
